Almondstown House

The clients for this bespoke new home wanted a building style that was cosy but yet modern. This was encapsulated through an external material palette of timber cladding and natural dark stone. The colours and textures of these materials complement each other and provide a rustic aesthetic that ties in well with the landscaping and natural elements of the site. The plan is inverted, with living spaces on first floor and bedrooms on the ground floor. Consequently the first floor is dominated by areas of glazing that encapsulate the beautiful views over the garden and landscape beyond.
